Country information

The Republic of Bulgaria is a country in Southeast Europe. It borders Romania to the north, Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia to the west, Greece to the south, Turkey to the southeast and the Black Sea to the east. Its area is 111,000 km² and the population is about 6,600,000 people. Over 35% of the total area of the country is covered by forests.
