The Islamic Republic of Iran, formerly also called Persia, is a unitary presidential republic in Southwest Asia. It borders Iraq and Turkey to the west, Azerbaijan and Armenia to the northwest, the Caspian Sea to the north, Turkmenistan to the northeast, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east, and the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf to the south. The capital and largest city is Tehran.
It is 17th in the world by territory with an area of 1,648,195 km². Its population is about 85 million people.

Game types
Iran is home to a diverse and large amount of game: Transcaspian urial, Afghan urial, Persian ibex, bezoar ibex, southern desert ibex. Rams: Kerman, Isfahan, Red, Laristan, Kerman, Shtiraz. There is a large population of wild boar, gazelle and small game, including snipe.
Hunting programs
The hunting season is from October 19 to March 30. A minimum of 3-4 hunting days are required for each species. A minimum of 4 different animals can be successfully hunted within 15 days.
